Clean Energy for VA

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network is one of the leading groups working to halt construction of a massive coal-burning plant in southwest Virginia and promote energy efficiency and renewable energy. The conventional coal plant, which is under construction in Wise County, would harm ratepayers, shareholders, citizens, and the environment (learn more). CCAN works to educate Virginians about the opportunities provided by a clean energy future and the devastating consequences of our continued reliance on dirty energy sources such as coal.

Virginia's Commission on Climate Change will be holding it's first public meeting on Wednesday, August 27th in Richmond. The Commission will be studying the effects of climate change on Virginia and will lay out a plan of how to meet emissions goals.  Please attend the meeting and support real efforts to reduce Virginia's climate impact!
