Tell the U.S. Forest Service that you support the proposed ban on fracking in Virginia’s beloved George Washington National Forest.

For the first time ever, the Obama Administration and the EPA are proposing national limits on carbon pollution from new coal plants. This is a step in the right direction for combatting climate change, and the EPA should be commended for taking a stand against polluters. Carbon pollution is a primary cause of climate change and is also a significant contributor to health hazards like the smog that triggers asthma attacks.

Tell EPA administrator Lisa Jackson not to cave to greedy corporate interests on this issue and regulate coal ash as the hazardous substance that it is.

President Obama has sent the Keystone XL tar sands oil pipeline project back to the State Department to be sure that its "potential impacts are properly understood." This most certainly would not have happened without the work of activists like you! Please thank President Obama for sending the pipeline back for review, and ask him to outright reject the project based on its potential climate impacts.

The Department of the Interior is taking a step toward opening the coasts of Virginia and Maryland to exploration and development for oil and gas. We must demonstrate our opposition to any activities that would lead to offshore drilling.
