Virginians tell the Department of Environmental Quality, "No Wise County Plant!"
TELL THE DEQ - NO WISE COUNTY POWER PLANT
|
Dominion is pulling out the stops to push their $1.8 billion, 585-megawatt power plant through Virginia’s Department of Environmental Quality (“DEQ”) permitting process. DEQ is responsible for protecting and enhancing public health and the environment by controlling present and future sources of air pollution. Let's help them make the right choice and say NO to this plant!
Dominion knows that carbon caps and climate legislation is coming down the pike in the near future and are rushing to approve the project. Even Wall Street is starting to pull out of financing coal plants like Wise County’s that won’t be able to mean future clean air standards. They’re planning to start construction in just two months, but not without these crucial permits. Help us keep up the pressure from every angle by commenting on this permit!
