Two years ago, ODEC tried to do an end run around the community. The Dendron Town Council approved ODEC's plan -- without giving the public proper notice of their intention to hold a vote. The communities fought back in court, and despite all of ODEC's efforts, the judge nullified the zoning and sent the electric cooperative back to the drawing board.
Please come to the hearing and have your voice heard. This dirty polluting coal plant proposal is a threat to the health of all of Hampton Roads and ODEC has shown themselves to be anything but a good and transparent corporate neighbor.
